Can dogs eat strawberries?
Why
Strawberries are low in calories, high in fiber, and rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. They contain natural sugars, so they can be a problem for diabetic or overweight dogs. Whole berries can be a choking hazard, so slice or mash them, and avoid canned or syrup-packed versions that may contain added sugar or xylitol.
How much is safe
Offer a few fresh, sliced or mashed strawberries as an occasional treat; treats should stay under 10% of the daily diet.
